Just Justice
The communal ideal humans strive for is one where people irrespective of their difference are treated with equal dignity. However, human history has shown that civil liberties enjoyed in the present are usually the fruits of demands fought for in the past. Societal change has never been handed over freely, it has always been hard-earned.
Freeborn was created out of the need to raise funds for charitable efforts tackling needed required social injustice while clothing the people who hit the streets to clamour for necessary change in a visible reminder that their requests are harmless calls for everyone everywhere to be treated fairly.
The logo is inspired by a baby who happens to be pirate, two embodiments of what one might consider to be humans who don’t know what it means to not be free. And the wordmark “Freeborn” sits on the “equals” sign to remind us that no one is born being unjust to their fellow human being.
All proceeds other than production and distribution costs will go to the support of charities doing the hard work to create a better society for us all.
It is streetwear for the people who hit the streets with a cause.
